Hi new to this & headed in Dec 2009. We have a 9 yo &2 yo boys. What would the best place be to stay to be close to MK and maybe a few other parks? If we go to MK one day and AK next day is the hopper pass ok or does the magic your way package c

The closest resorts to Magic Kingdom are the 3 monorail hotels:  Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian.    The Contemporary is THE closest, you can actually walk to MK from the resort.  Polynesian and Grand Floridian are just a few short monorail stops away.

If you plan to do Epcot as well, you might like Polynesian.  It is just a short walk to the Transportation and Ticket Center where you can hop a monorail to Epcot.

You can get to both Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios by bus from any of these resorts.

If you plan to do only one park per day, you will need the Magic My Way Base Ticket.  If you plan to park hop (more than one park per day) you will need to add the Park Hopper option.

Have fun planning your vacation with your boys!

Meet the Panelist: Cathy, Ohio

Hi, I'm Cathy from Cleveland. I love to travel, especially in the winter to escape the snow and cold of Ohio! My husband and 2 kids share my enthusiasm for travel, so we enjoy our adventures together whether it is hiking at a National Park, sailing on a Disney Cruise Ship, or going to Walt Disney World which is our home away from home. My husband proposed to me in front of Cinderella Castle and we have not stopped visiting ever since! It's a blast helping guests here at planDisney!
