Hello!! I am a new foster parent and I was very surprised to learn that Disney does not offer discounts to foster families. Am I just missing it or am I correct that they don't? Very disappointing if proven to be true.

Hello James and welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

I have to stand and take my ears off to you James because you are an amazing man to open your home to a foster child. It is truly magical to give a child a home and family when they need it most. I commend you on this new chapter in your life. I am thrilled that you are planning to bring your foster child to the Walt Disney World Resort soon.

At this time there are no discounts for foster families, but if your Mouseketeer is under the age of 3 theme park admission is not required. Prices are reduced for guests ages 3-9, and guests ages 10 and over require valid theme park admission which can vary based on the date you plan to visit. I would suggest keeping your ears open to any special offers available during your trip that may include dining plans or reduced room rates.

I would suggest that you take the opportunity to celebrate the beginning of this new family journey by contacting the Community Relations Department and sharing your story with them. You can contact them by calling (407) 828-3453, Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM. You never know what Pixie Dusted surprises will await you during your trip. I hope that answers your question. If you need any more help planning your magical vacation, please come back and visit us again.

    See ya real soon,
