The new event starting March 18th at DCA, will any rides be open?

Welcome to planDisney, Tiffany. Thanks for taking the time to stop by with your question.

I see that you’ve already heard about A Touch of Disney, a new limited-time ticketed experience that is coming to Disney California Adventure Park starting March 18! This event will run Thursdays to Mondays from noon to 8 PM. Tickets are limited and they will go on sale on Disneyland website starting March 4. For an introductory price of $75, it includes self-parking at Mickey & Friends Parking Structure, unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass captured during the day of your experience, and a $25 A Touch of Disney dining card good towards food and non-alcoholic beverages at select dining locations within Disneyland Resort.

While attractions (rides) won’t be available at this time, you’ll get unique photo opportunities and Characters will also be out and about. Will you get to see Mickey or Minnie? Perhaps Joy and Sadness?

If you’re planning to dine al fresco at Carthay Circle Lounge or Lamplight Lounge (one of my favorite places to relax and hang out), I highly recommend making an advanced dining reservation which starts March 11.
Please note: table reservation alone does not provide admission to A Touch of Disney. Dining at those locations require valid admission for the same day as your dining reservation.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Tiffany. Please visit us again if you have more questions. We are all EARS and ready to assist!

    See ya real soon,

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings from Northern California! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
