Hi Cayla, and welcome back to planDisney!
You’re in for a special vacation by visiting the
Most Magical Place on Earth during the Most Wonderful Time of the Year. Everywhere you turn, there are beautiful holiday decorations throughout the parks. And with the joy of
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and the merry vibes of
Jollywood Nights, there’s truly no better place to get into the holiday spirit.
Regarding your question about the new early entry, or rope drop, procedures at
Disney’s Hollywood Studios: I haven’t personally tested the updated process yet. However, from conversations with fellow planDisney panelist experts and from my own research, here’s what I understand: when the park opens for Guests to tap in, all Guests can do so and enter Hollywood Studios. At various locations in the park: Sunset Boulevard (for Tower of Terror and Rock ‘N Roller Coaster), the entrance to Toy Story Land, and on Grand Avenue (for Galaxy’s Edge), there will be Cast Members that will have
Early Theme Park Entry signs and will scan MagicBands, Key to the World cards, or MagicMobile passes to verify eligibility. Once you’re verified, you’re allowed through to enjoy the park early. If you’re not eligible, you will be held in that same location until the park officially opens. I think this is a great option for Non-Resort Guests to do some shopping in
Keystone Clothiers,
Celebrity 5 &10, and hopefully
Legends of Hollywood.
Now, let’s fuel that morning with some delicious dining options at Hollywood Studios:
Woody’s Lunch Box is a classic must-do for a Lunch Box Tart, or you could go with a savory Ronto Wrap from
Ronto Roasters. Perfect for grabbing something quick, tasty, and playful before your touring adventure. Later in the day, if you find yourself over toward Grand Avenue,
BaseLine Tap House is a relaxing spot to grab a refreshing drink and enjoy some of their light bites, like craft brews or unique small plates, that pair nicely with the atmosphere.
I hope this helps answer your question, Cayla. If you have any additional questions or want my Hollywood Studios Lightning Lane Mult Pass strategy, swing back by planDisney

Cheers,
Brent
