    As new DVC members, we will be staying at AKL in February. A previous question asked if DVC members and their guests could go to the Top of the World Lounge and your answer indicated that this special perk ended December 29, 2012. Has this perk expired?

    Howdy Mark!  Let me first welcome you to the Disney Vacation Club!!!  Welcome!!!

    I have great news!  I spoke with Member Services this evening and DVC Members do currently have access to the Top of the World Lounge even if we are not staying at Bay Lake Tower!  I asked if the Cast Member knew when this special perk was going to end. Nothing is noted so I am hoping this perk will remain available for a long time.  Top of the World Lounge is amazing and I hope you find time to visit and enjoy a cocktail, light food or other beverages.  You will also have one of the most amazing views of Cinderella Castle I have ever seen!

    Enjoy your visit to Animal Kingdom Lodge.  We were there a couple of years ago and can't wait to go back!  If you have questions about Animal Kingdom Lodge or any other questions about maximizing your DVC Membership, please let me know.
