We are new DVC members planning a trip for late Jan 2013. Would it make sense to book the last week in Jan 2013 and the week (or so) prior to that in Jan 2014 and purchase an annual pass? It seems then we'd be able to use it for both trips.

First of all, Thelma, congratulations on your decision to join the Disney Vacation Club! You're sure to love all of the spacious, luxurious options at your fingertips, now that you are a Member!

Disney Vacation Club Members also enjoy that great discount on Annual Passes, too, among other great perks...and you just discovered how to take advantage of this concept on your first stay! Nicely done! In years when we know we'll be making back-to-back trips to Walt Disney World, we always purchase Annual Passes, and stagger our trips exactly as you've mentioned. Not only will you have saved at least $100 per person in purchasing your passes with the DVC Member discount, you'll also be getting a second whole trip out of those passes, another great savings! For more information on DVC Member Perks, be sure to log on to dvcmember.com, where you'll find so many useful tools regarding your membership.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding your resort choice, if you'll add a Dining Plan (short answer? Yes!) or any other aspect of your first trip as Disney Vacation Club Members.  I'd love to help! And may I be one of the first to say to you "Welcome Home!" :-)
