    Hi Moms! I am a new DVC member and was wondering if the gratuities are included in the amount of points you need to use your points for a disney cruise? I was told they were but wanted to double check! Thanks

    First of all, congratulations on your decision to become part of the Disney Vacation Club family! Welcome home! :-)

    Now, regarding using your DVC Membership points in order to reserve a Disney Cruise (great decision, by the way!) your reservation, much like those of Guests paying cash for their reservation, does NOT include gratuities. What your reservation does include is exactly what others' reservations will include: your cabin, meals, entertainment, etc. Gratutities, excursions, specialty dining, alcoholic beverages and the like will be an additional charge. What's great about Disney Cruise Line, however, is that you can prepay these gratuities prior to your departure, saving the time and hassle of arranging for them while onboard. Prior to your last evening, an envelope with each gratuity voucher, labeled, will be placed in your cabin so that you can thank your servers for the stellar service I'm sure you're going to receive. It's a seamless way to take care of those who have taken care of you without carving additional time out of your vacation in order to do so.
