Hi. New DVC member SS, June use year. Would like to stay at BW after Christmas (12/27 - 1/3). I know this is busy time of year, is that likely if I book at the 7 month mark? If not at Christmas, thinking of DC in March 14, but rule of 4 confusion. thanx

Howdy David and WELCOME TO THE DISNEY VACATION CLUB!!

Booking a reservation at Disney's BoardWalk Villas at the 7 month window for the week after Christmas might be tough.  If you are definitely planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort during that time, I would encourage you to book a villa at Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa now and then try to modify your reservation at the 7 month window.  Even if you are not able to move to BoardWalk, you will have a wonderful time staying in your home resort!

I am so impressed with you!!!  It was years before I knew the rule of 4 even existed!  Per the Membership Guide, "You cannot book and travel on The Disney Collection (excluding Disneyland® Resort Hotels in California and Tokyo Disney Resort®), Concierge Collection and Adventurer Collection vacations within the last 4 months of your Use Year. However, you can travel in the last 4 months of your Use Year as long as you've booked your stay more than 4 months before the end of your Use Year."  If you are not planning to cruise until March of 2014, you have plenty of time to book your cruise.

It sounds like you are truly going to be maximize your Membership!!  Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your first magical Disney Vacation Club vacation!
