Hello! I am a new DVC member and I have a hotel reservation booked at the Coronado, but not with my DVC points. Do I have to have a reservation booked with my DVC points to visit the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower?

    Hello Allessandra,

Welcome to planDisney and the Disney Vacation Club family! I’m thrilled that you’ll soon enjoy all the incredible benefits of your Disney Vacation Club Membership. One of my favorite aspects of a DVC Membership is the flexibility to choose from a wide range of accommodations at various Disney destinations - there is always something perfect for every travel party, no matter the size! My family has created many core memories with our DVC Membership over the years and I can't wait to make more.

My family has a tradition of heading to the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort every trip to watch the nighttime spectacular Happily Ever After and enjoy the views from the 16th floor. There's something extra special about watching the fireworks from a completely different point of view while still enjoying the heart-moving soundtrack that is piped in so you don't miss a thing. It's such a great place for DVC Members to visit and relax. Several food items on the menu are wonderfully wicked but my absolute favorite is the Seven Lair cake. You can even ask for the cake to-go so you can enjoy dessert and the show at the same time!

I spoke with Member Services, and they confirmed that to access the Lounge, a Member must be using their DVC Membership for their stay. This means either booking with Vacation Points or securing a Cash Stay through Member Services. If your reservation was made through Member Services, you're all set to enjoy the Top of the World Lounge – A Villains Lair atop Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort!

Allessandra, I hope this information is helpful to your vacation planning. Enjoy your stay at the Most Magical Place on Earth, I'm wishing you many happy memories!

    Welcome Home,
