Hi, I am a new DVC member. I will be coming to AKV in Dec. (4-9) and am wondering if the quick service dining plan will save me more money than using my DVC membership or AP discount on food. We will be traveling with a 11 yr old and 6 yr old. Thanks

    Hi Kristin,

As a annual passholder, you are entitled to buy a Tables in Wonderland Card.  The last time I renewed mine it was $75 for the year.  The card gives you a 20% discount at almost all the sit down restaurants in WDW parks and resorts.  It made sense for my family because we were able to use it during two separate week long trips one of with included a lot of dining with our extended family.

If you are only going to be at WDW for 6 days this year and if you eat primarily at the quick service restaurants, the dining plan is probably your best bet.  There are not many restaurants in WDW that give DVC member discounts.  I think you will find the dining plan to be much more flexible and in the end a good value.

Meet the Panelist: Michelle, New Jersey

I have been fortunate enough to be on the Walt Disney World Moms Panel since 2008.  As a Disney World enthusiast, I can’t imagine a greater opportunity.  My husband, our 6-year-old daughter, and I visit WDW a few times a year.
