We are new to the DVC and will be going on our first trip as DVC members in 11/2010 to BLT 2br. What all comes in the room (dishes, dish soap, silverware etc...)? Is there a list somewhere so I know what I don't need to bring?

Hi Amy! Welcome Home and congratulations on joining Disney Vacation Club! The view resorts tab located under Plan My Vacation on dvcmember.com has information about what is included in each villa type. In addition, there are detailed supply lists found on www.allears.net and they are very helpful for assessing any additional supplies you might want to pack.
There is also a supply list in the kitchen of the villa. The list mentions that you can request certain supplies as needed, such as a blender, etc. I recommend looking at this list prior to making any purchases.  On a recent DVC stay, we could not fine the wine bottle opener and I was getting ready to go to the resort shop and purchase one.  I checked the list and it read that there should be a wine opener in the villa. I could not find it for the life of me, but I did find an off white stick of no known significance. I showed it to my hubby and he immediately opened it to reveal... it was the wine opener. I had never seen anything like it, but yes, indeed, the villa did have a wine bottle opener.
I would also recommend a supply box or bin. We have a rubber maid bin designated solely for our vacations and here are a few items that we have inside - cutting board, chopping knife, large measuring cup, collapsible strainer, kitchen trash bags, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, dish detergent, room spray, clorox wipes, plastic utensils, plastic cups, paper plates, napkins, and ice cream scoop.
