new to DVC, first stay at VWL this summer. We arrive early and am worried room will not be ready, can they store our bags and cary ons till room avail, so we can go hit the parks? Looking forward to trip. Thanks

April, this is so exciting! Your first stay at Walt Disney World as a Disney Vacation Club Member!

    Welcome Home!

Rest assured, Disney has thought of everything imaginable before your arrival, so dropping your things at the hotel and running off to the parks is standard procedure.  Your room will most likely not be ready upon your early arrival, so pack with this in mind:  perhaps have a lightweight, empty bag tucked inside your carry-on bag, which you can use for your day in the parks.  At check-in, quickly slip that bag out as you hand Bell Services all the gear which you do not need as you head to the parks. Your bags will be placed on their own cart and tucked away in a secured storage area right there. They'll hand you a claim ticket, with the number of the total bags you've left with them, and you're on your way!

You can choose to be notified that your room is ready via cell phone call or text; when you're ready to head to your room, stop by Bell Services to have them bring up your bags and head to your villa!  (This is even easier if you take advantage of Online Check-in, so your Key to the World Cards are pre-printed and waiting for you prior to your arrival.)

Best wishes on the most magical first Disney Vacation Club stay at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge!  Be sure to send more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
