New to DVC, elected for a split stay BLT/AKL. Plan to purchase DDP. Am I correct that I will have separate DDP for each reservation and that I must use all from 1st before checking in for 2nd? Do we need to make a reservation for TOW lounge? Thanks!!

    Hi Stacie,

"Welcome home!" to Disney Vacation Club!  Taking your first trip as a split stay between Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas and Bay Lake Tower at Disney's Contemporary Resort sounds wonderful.  Those are both beautiful resorts.

You are correct that you will need to have separate Dining Plans for each reservation.  The cast members at Disney Vacation Club Member Services can help you to add these - simply call them at 1-800-800-9800.  On the day that you switch resorts, do not close out your account at the first resort, as this will deactivate your dining entitlements at that resort.  You can check in to your second resort and use the dining entitlements from both reservations concurrently on that "switch" day; however, be sure on that "switch" day to use up the dining entitlements from the first resort as they will expire at midnight on your checkout day from the first resort.

The Top of the World Lounge is wonderful!  My family and I watched Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from there on a recent trip, and it was really a unique experience.  You do not need to make reservations to enjoy the Top of the World Lounge.  On the night that you want to go, simply head to the check in desk for Top of the World Lounge in the lobby of Bay Lake Tower.  You will need to present your Key to the World Card and also possibly your Disney Vacation Club membership card.  From there you will be shown to an elevator to access the Top of the World Lounge.  Currently the Top of the World Lounge is open from 6:00 p.m. to midnight.

I hope this information is helpful for you, Stacie!  Please do let us know if you have any further questions, and have a great time planning your first Disney Vacation Club trip!
