Welcome Home, Carl--and welcome to planDisney! It's always a treat to meet a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and especially one who hails from the Mitten State like me! Let's jump right in and track down the information you're looking for.
How exciting that you have a vacation lined up this fall for
The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort! The newest of the DVC properties, the cabins offer a peaceful outdoor setting with all the comforts of home. After a day in the theme parks, it's a perfect setting to relax around a
campfire and enjoy some s'mores with your family!
Carl, I spoke with some Cast Members at Fort Wilderness and am happy to report that you may park one vehicle and one golf cart at your cabin. Fort Wilderness is a big place, so many Guests choose to rent or bring a golf cart to navigate the resort during their stay. It's strongly recommended that you book a cart in advance. You can
call to reserve an electric cart up to one year in advance of your visit--these do book up, so I recommend calling sooner rather than later to secure a cart for your September vacation. Guests choosing to bring their own golf carts must present proof of insurance at the time of check-in and sign an agreement and waiver.
While you're enjoying all that Fort Wilderness has to offer, I highly recommend making a reservation for the legendary
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. It's a super fun evening of music and comedy, accompanied by an all-you-care-to-enjoy feast. It's a family favorite and I'm sure it will become one of yours, too!
Well, Carl, I hope these details are just what you need to shore up your plans for your fall getaway to
Walt Disney World Resort. Thanks so much for stopping by planDisney, and please
reach out again anytime if we can help add a little extra magic to your vacation.
Stay Magical!
Susan
