I am new to the Disney Vacation Club. This year we have more points then we will be using and have 150 points that we can not bank. Can I give those points to my brother so he can stay at WDW with his family?

    Hi Lindsay,

Congratulations on becoming a Disney Vacation Club Member...Welcome to the Family!

My family regards our Membership in Disney Vacation Club as an investment in family time. It guarantees that each yEAR we can take a break from our hectic daily lives to relax, have fun and create special memories together as a family. Being able to stay in our favorite Disney Vacation Club Resorts while doing so is the icing on the cake!

Lindsay it sounds like you are facing a "dilemma" which I have personally never come across in having extra Disney Vacation Club points which you will not be able to use or "bank" this year. Fortunately, you will definitely be able to spread some magic and pixie dust by using those points to book a stay at Disney Vacation Club Resort at Walt Disney World for your brother's family. Do be aware that all arrangements regarding the reservation, including the purchase of the Disney Dining Plan (if they so chose) and booking of Disney's Magical Express will have to be coordinated by you; the Disney Vacation Club Member.

Another great option which may be available to you is depositing your Disney Vacation Club points with RCI, which would allow you to book a stay potentially up to 24 months in advance at a wide variety of destinations across the world!

Best wishes on your new Membership, Lindsay, and "Welcome Home" once again to Disney Vacation Club!
