Hi Kristin,
Let me be one of the first to say, "Welcome Home!" to Disney Vacation Club! I suggest that you explore the
Disney Vacation Club website for lots of great information about your membership. Now that you are a member, you will be able to manage your membership there, including seeing your current vacation point allocations and checking availability at Disney Vacation Club resorts.
Be sure to check out the "Member Benefits & More" section, found under the "Explore Membership" tab. This will let you know about current benefits for Disney Vacation Club members. Check them often, because they can and do change! This is where I look for ticket discounts. Over the years, I have purchased many annual passes at great discounts! Also note that Disney Vacation Club members receive discounts on many tours at Walt Disney World.
For dining, my family takes advantage of the opportunity to purchase
Tables in Wonderland. This program offers 20% off of food and beverage at many Walt Disney World dining locations, as well as complimentary valet and theme park parking while you dine. My family generally eats in a restaurant once a day while we are on vacation, typically a table service location, and therefore this program works well for us. Many Disney Vacation Club members enjoy adding on a Disney Dining Plan to their Disney Vacation Club reservation. Many locations offer dining discounts simply for being a Disney Vacation Club member!
Finally, always carry your Disney Vacation Club member card and a photo ID with you while you are at Walt Disney World. I have gotten in the habit of asking at all Walt Disney World locations if they offer a Disney Vacation Club discount, and many do! You will need your member card and photo ID to receive these.
Please do write back if you have any further questions, Kristin!
