Welcome to planDisney, Angela! And thanks for bringing your question to us! We are a group of guests who have mastered the art of planning our Disney vacations, so we spend our free time helping other guests plan theirs!
While I absolutely love the theme parks at
Walt Disney World Resort, I like to spend a day at
Disney Springs or perhaps visiting other Disney Resort hotels. I have often done this by taking complimentary transportation from Disney Springs, via
bus or
Sassagoula River Cruise. As you know, Disney has recently released guidelines concerning this process. The current information says that you will need to show a valid room key or proof of a dining or experience reservation for the resort you are visiting. However, this new policy has not yet begun (it's set to begin on June 28, 2026), and Walt Disney World rules are always subject to change at any time, so I do think we will get more clarification in the near future. My advice is to speak to a Cast Member at your resort or Disney Springs when you arrive to get the most up-to-date information.
Between the theme parks, Disney Springs, and your resort amenities, I am sure you will find plenty to keep you entertained for the length of your stay! I could actually spend days at Disney Springs and not do it all! I always visit
Gideon's Bakehouse for my favorite treat, the Pistachio Toffee Chocolate Chip cookie. I could go for one right now! (Too bad I'm over 500 miles away!) I'm really excited about the opening of
Level 99, which is scheduled for this summer. It will have more than 60 themed challenge rooms where you'll be able to work together to test your skills and solve mysteries! Disney Springs has shopping, dining, live entertainment, pin trading, and more! It has become an incredible destination on its own!
I wish I had a more concrete answer for you, Angela. I hope your next visit to Walt Disney World is as magical as ever! If you have any more questions, please
let us know! We're always happy to help!
