How can I get the new Disney kid friendly map before our arrival? I thought it would be a fun way to surprise our kids.

    Hiya, Brittany!

Although the Disneyland Resort doesn't ship guidemaps to Guests, I'd be happy to share information from the new Family Adventure Maps for Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park with you.

The Family Adventure Maps are perfect for families, especially with younger children. The first section you notice is "Selected Family Attractions." You can also set the filters on the map screen of the Disneyland mobile app to find attractions appropriate for preschoolers, tweens, or other ages.

Another section of each map is "Kid-Favorite Foods." This chart helps locate foods like burgers, chicken tenders, mac & cheese, and my favorite, Power Packs. In Disneyland Park, some of my favorites are Red Rose Taverne and Galactic Grill. In Disney California Adventure Park, I recommend Smokejumpers Grill and Flo's V8 Café.

The Family Adventure Maps highlight other services, For example, Baby Care Centers are at the end of Main Street, U.S.A., or in San Fransokyo Square. You can also learn about Rider Switch Service and Sensory Experience Details.

The back sides of the Family Adventure Maps feature special new offerings at the Disneyland Resort. First, "it's a small world" includes new characters from the Disney•Pixar movie, Coco. Next, you don't want to miss Disney Junior: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! I saw this all-new show when I last visited the Disneyland Resort. It had me on my feet, ready to party with Mickey and Minnie!

The Family Adventure Maps are quite popular. If you don't find them in the regular guidemap distribution boxes near the entrances of each theme park, I recommend stopping by a Guest Relations location. While you look forward to your visit to the Disneyland Resort, you may wish to download content from the Disney Parks Blog, including a Disney Paper Parks pop-up map of Disneyland Park. There are many great activities available to help you get excited for a family vacation to The Happiest Place on Earth!

    Have a magical time, Brittany!
