Hi Marc! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
There is so much fun for all the family at
Disney's Typhoon Lagoon and
Disney's Blizzard Beach, even for those who do not wish to try out the water slides or the wave pools. When I am at the water parks you will often find me relaxing on a sun lounger with coffee and a good book! It's a really nice opportunity to have a relaxing day away from the more energetic and exciting theme parks. When purchasing your admission tickets for the water parks online, anyone over the age of 10 should be added to the "Ages 10+" category, including all adults. Everyone entering the park must have a full admission ticket, regardless of how they intend to spend their day. If your wife does not enjoy the water, you might like to consider upgrading your seating area at the water park so she can enjoy her day in more comfort. At Disney's Blizzard Beach, you can rent a
Polar Patio which provides a reserved private space for up to six Guests and offers you towels, cushioned seating, a locker, refillable drink mugs and a cooler ready-stocked with bottles of water and ice. Or you could choose
Lodge Umbrellas which provide a reserved area with seating (two loungers and two beach chairs), a small table, towels and a beach umbrella for that much-needed shade. You can call at Beach Haus, when you arrive at the park, to ask about availability for that day.
Beachcomber Shacks at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon are the private reserved deck areas similar to Polar Patios at Disney's Blizzard Beach.
Getaway Glen Umbrellas offer you two reserved loungers, two beach chairs, a table, a beach umbrella and towels, and accommodate up to four Guests. You may also visit Singapore Sal's to ask about same day availability. The same phone number serves both water parks, for all enquiries, pricing details and reservations: (407) 939 7529.
Please come back and visit us if you have any further questions. We will be happy to help you plan your magical vacation at Walt Disney World. ~ Sue
