Hiya Kris,
Welcome to planDisney! Can you believe how incredible the
Disney Celebrates America Military Salute Ticket is? I’m the daughter of two veterans, and I was so excited to see this deal released; what an excellent way to honor military service members and their families!
Since this ticket deal is so new, there are quite a few things we are still learning about it, but you’ve come to the right place! So, yes, similar to a
Walt Disney World Annual Pass, Guests with a Disney Celebrates America Military Salute ticket must make advanced park reservations and follow the same
park-hopping guidelines. Guests no longer have to wait until 2 pm to park hop, but they still must enter the first park they have a reservation for before hopping to a new park (as long as the park has capacity). The 2 pm rule you are asking about may be the perk Annual Passholders have, which allows them to visit the theme parks without a theme park reservation after 2:00 pm (except on Saturdays and Sundays at Magic Kingdom) and on good-to-go days. Currently, Disney Celebrates America Military Salute tickets do not have “good-to-go days, and they do require a theme park reservation for entry all the time, so those specific perks are not applicable.
I hope this was helpful, Kris. Before I let you go, I wanted to remind you that to use the theme park tickets, they must be activated in person at the theme parks by the Military Service Member or Spouse. They must also scan into the theme park on the very first day for the tickets to be ready for use. If you need anything else, please come back and see us.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
