With the new changes, if I purchase the dining plan for everyone in my room, but I have family members who are staying in another room without the dining plan, am I able to use some of my table service credits to "treat" them to a meal with me?

Hey there, Donna, and welcome to planDisney! I'm so happy you're here with this great question today! It sounds like you're planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation with lots of loved ones - that's totally my Disney vacation style, too!

Donna, it sounds like you're pretty familiar with the Disney Dining Plan and you're looking forward to taking advantage of it during your upcoming visit. I'm a huge fan of dining plans at Walt Disney World Resort because they provide great savings to my family and I love being able to enjoy a meal, knowing I've already taken care of the bill.

Tracking your meals and snacks is super easy with the My Disney Experience Mobile App - just head to the Resort Hotel section for a summary of past purchases and a count of remaining meals and snacks. You'll find that the meals and snacks will be pooled together and only separated by snacks, quick-service meals, and table service meals - not by individual Guests in your party. If there are kids ages three to nine in your room, you'll also see sections with counts of their remaining meals and snacks. Meals and snacks are intended to be used by the Guests in your room, and will be available for you to use at your discretion at any point throughout your stay, from the day you check in until midnight on the day you check out.

When you sit down for a table service meal, you'll inform your server that you'll be using the dining plan, and your server will use the amount of meals you desire. It's absolutely possible to enjoy a meal with Guests who are not using a dining plan - you'll just let your server know which Guests are paying with cash and which are using a dining plan, and you'll be billed accordingly.

Donna, I hope this is helpful as you prepare for an amazing vacation! Please stop back by planDisney with any other questions you have! If you need any recommendations on where to find great meals and snacks during your visit, you have a friend in me!

    Bon appetit!
