Sophie from Australia Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

With the new changes announced for booking lightening lanes in advance, how does it work if you have a split stay. We have a 15 day trip coming up but will be staying at 4 different Disney hotels over that time. Can I book the 7 days plus 14 days?

Hey, howdy, hey, Sophie, and welcome to planDisney. What an amazing adventure you are planning as you travel from the South Pacific (we were in Sydney over New Year's Eve with Adventures By Disney) to the Most Magical Place on Earth in Orlando!

Split stays and Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a hot topic and you have come to the right place for answers. First, download the My Disney Experience app when you arrive in the United States. This will allow you to book your Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections. Guests staying in a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel or other select may begin booking Lightning Lane Mult Pass selections starting at 7:00 AM seven (7) days before their check-in date for up to 14 days of their Resort stay. Here are some other points to know.
    • Split stays that are continuous (no gaps between hotels), regardless of the number of qualifying hotel reservations, will be allowed to purchase and book Lightning Lane Multi Pass for the entire length of their visit up to a maximum of 14 days.
    • If there is a break in the split stay, then Guests can plan up to seven days prior to each individual check-in day.
    • Guests must have valid theme park tickets and park reservations (if applicable) for all days they wish to purchase and plan with Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
I hope this clears up any confusion. By the way, your September journey happens to be at the start of the second month of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Be sure to bring your appetite as you eat and drink around the world, the World Showcase that is. Also, all Disney Resorts Collection Hotel Guests may take advantage of Early Theme Park Hours and select Disney Resorts may even have Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. More Magic!

Sophie, please feel free to write me back directly with any follow-up questions or for other Disney vacation planning tips.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
