We're new & we banked our points but our thinking of a quick trip to DW next month. Can we still book our trip through DVC if we're not using any points or do we need to just book it through gen resv? Also are there any discounted ticket prices for us

    Hello, Michele!

    Welcome home!

I'm sure you're going to absolutely love your Disney Vacation Club Membership!

You can surely talk to Disney Vacation Club Member Services in order to find out what's best for your upcoming trip. I don't know when your Use Year starts, keep in mind that (odd as this may seem) you CAN borrow points from your next Use Year for your upcoming trip. The points you banked cannot be used for travel until your next Use Year begins (because they were banked); this does not mean, however, that you cannot borrow the original points from that same Use Year for a trip next month (again, this all depends on when your Use Year begins.) Call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 in order to discuss your particular options with a Cast Member.  That person can also assist you with booking a reservation paid by cash as well...another great perk for Disney Vacation Club Members!

Regarding discounted ticket prices, you can currently receive a $100 discount per person on Annual Passes (for Members and their immediate family members who reside in the same household) for anyone age 10 and up.  Premium Annual Passes are discounted by $125.  We try to plan our first visit on an Annual Pass based on when we can return the next year, and coordinate our stays so that we get at least two week-long trips out of one Annual Pass. DVC Members also get a $4 off per person for both Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach Waterparks, as well as 10% off admission to DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park.

Check out "Member Perks," under the "Member Privileges" tab on Disney Vacation Club's Member's website for more information, or call Member Services for more details.

Again, I wish you the very best in your new Disney Vacation Club Membership.  May this be the beginning of a most magical time for you and your family!  Send me more questions as you think of them! I'd love to help!
