So many new attractions! We did 4 days for 4 parks 3 years ago. We are 2 grands, 2 parents, 3 kids 11,9,6. What do you suggest for 2019 w/o park hopping? If we buy 4day tkts can we add a 5th later? If we buy 5days, can we add pk hopper to 1day later?

    Hello Bobbi!

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am so excited to hear about your plans for a 2019 Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You will be able to visit the all new Toy Story Land, fly in the back of a mountain banshee in Pandora at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and maybe even travel to a galaxy far, far away when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2019!

I usually recommend at least 5 days to visit the theme parks, with two days for Magic Kingdom Park and one day for each of the other parks. This may change depending on your family’s interests, but my daughter is 7-years-old and we still find that most of her favorite attractions are located at Magic Kingdom, that’s why we find that one day is usually not enough.

If you decide to purchase 4-day park admission tickets you can upgrade in person when you arrive, and in order to do so you must still have remaining days on your ticket. Park Hopper option can only be added to all days of park admission tickets, so if you purchase a 5-day regular ticket it is currently not possible to add Park Hopper option to the last day only. If it has been a long time since your last vacation, and with so many new things to see and do, maybe add Park Hopper to a future visit. You should also take into consideration that you will be traveling with grandparents and three children, so remember that park hopping requires extra planning.

I hope this helps you, Bobbi! Please stop by real soon if you have additional questions.

    Best magical wishes,
    Thiana
