Hi, Kayla!
Thanks for stopping by planDisney, and welcome to Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family! As a theme park fan, becoming an Annual Passholder was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Trust me, you have an amazing year ahead.
Your new
annual pass has to be activated in order to use the free theme park standard parking perk. Instead of heading straight to one of the four theme parks on your first visit, swing by another location that has complimentary parking. I suggest going to the Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs. You can also activate your annual pass by visiting one of the
Disney Water Parks, especially if you’ve added the Water Parks and Sports Option. So, you can activate it at the ticket window, and then hit the waves moments later.
You could also visit a theme park first, pay with the parking attendant, and keep the receipt. Visit Guest Relations inside of the park and ask them to reimburse you. There is no guarantee, but this is another option depending on how much time you have.
Make sure that you have your annual pass linked and ready to go in your
My Disney Experience app. When you get to your first Mickey-shaped entry point, you can simply scan your digital ticket on your phone or use a linked
MagicBand+.
AN EXTRA GEM: There are so many other benefits to look forward to as an Annual Passholder. Many restaurants and shops around property offer discounts with proof of an annual pass. When I first became a Passholder, I would always forget to ask. Silly me! However, I love that discounts automatically apply when
Mobile Ordering food or using the
Mobile Checkout feature in the My Disney Experience app. Be on the look out for new, free Passholder magnets that release throughout the year. Another is dropping soon and the
AP Instagram page’s hint today is giving animal vibes…
You are in for a year jam-packed with magical moments and adventures, Kayla! As you make the most of your new annual pass,
reach out to us here at planDisney if you have any more questions.
Magic always,
LeAndra
