With the new annual passes, my expiration date in the App shows 1 year from the date of purchase. However, don’t they expire 1 year from the date of activation?

    Welcome Home, Morgan!

Thank you for stopping by planDisney with your great question about Walt Disney World Resort annual passes.

Morgan, the expiration date you are currently seeing in your My Disney Experience mobile app account refers to the expiration of your Walt Disney World Resort annual pass certificate.

You have one year from the date of your annual pass purchase to exchange your annual pass certificate and activate your Walt Disney World Resort annual pass. After one year, the amount paid for an unused, expired annual pass certificate may be applied towards the purchase of a new annual pass at current prices so long as the new pass purchase price is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original annual pass certificate.

Once you use your annual pass certificate to activate your new annual pass, your annual pass will expire one year from the date of activation.

I hope this helps you, Morgan! If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to visit planDisney again. We are always hEAR to help you!
