    I have a new annual pass and want to link my old magic band to it to use. How do I do that?

    Hi Leigh and welcome to planDisney!

    Congratulations on becoming a Walt Disney World Passholder!  You have just unlocked a year full of Disney magic at my favorite vacation destination.  I see that you're also a Florida resident, just like me, so I know you'll get a lot of use out of your new annual pass.  

    I just love using MagicBands while on vacation at Walt Disney World and I have built up quite a collection.  One of the great parts about them is they are automatically linked to your My Disney Experience account and anything tied to your account.  Since your account is linked to your annual pass, so are all of your old MagicBands!  There is nothing you need to do to be able to use them on your next visit.  I do want to advise you that per Disney, the MagicBand batteries last about 2 years, so if your MagicBand is older than that, there is a chance it might not work.  

    If you are interested in purchasing a new MagicBand or the newest MagicBand+, Passholders have the option to do so online at a discount.  To view the current selection available, log in to your My Disney Experience account online and click on "MagicBands and Cards".  On this page you can see any previous MagicBands that you have and the option to "Get Started" on customizing a new one.  My current MagicBand+ that I have been using is the beautiful blue and pink Stitch design since my favorite movie is Lilo & Stitch.  The hardest part is picking just one out of all the options!
