Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Bruce!
I have
never had trouble sleeping at Walt Disney World. After all the walking, laughing, excitement, and magic, I fall into a sleep similar to Princess Aurora's after she touched Maleficent's spindle! Having said that, my Disney motto is "a rested family is a happy family," so let's get you some caffeine-free options so you are ready to join the dreamers at bedtime.
To wash down the delicious meats, noodles, pineapple bread, and other wondrous dinner items at
'Ohana, you will be able to order Coke products, coffee, or tea, along with the full cocktail menu from
Tambu Lounge. For caffeine-free sodas, Sprite or Lemonade are going to be the standard options, but definitely check with your server about other possibilities, as I have seen Root Beer in some restaurants. I always add a tall glass of water to combat the dehydration that can easily occur in the Florida heat.
Bruce, while I can’t guarantee that they'll be able to serve it, a fantastic option at 'Ohana is Liliko'i Juice (also called POG juice), which is available at breakfast and may be available for dinner. This passion fruit, orange, and guava combination is absolutely delicious – I could drink glasses and glasses of it!
While you didn't ask about alcoholic options, I would not be doing my magical duty if I didn't tell you about my favorite cocktail at Walt Disney World: the Lapu Lapu. Served in a pineapple, this combination of rum and tropical juices is the stuff of dreams.
Have an amazing meal, Bruce, and have an extra bite of the 'Ohana Bread Pudding (served with bananas and caramel sauce – droooool!) for me. Wishing you easy travels to dreamland!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
