My nephew will turn 3 while we're at Disneyland, does he need a ticket for the few days after his birthday?

    Hi Karen,
Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I'm happy to answer your questions about the Disneyland Resort.
Congratulations to your nephew and a very happy birthday to him!
Three years old and he will have the best time during your trip to the Happiest Place on Earth!
When you arrive at the Disneyland Park, don't forget to stop by City Hall and get a birthday button for the little guy. It will make him feel extra special to receive warm greetings and birthday wishes on his special day from Cast members and other guests alike!
Also keep in mind that you can pre-order a Mickey-shaped birthday cake for him and have it delivered at one of several restaurants throughout the Disneyland Resort by calling (714) 781-DINE prior to your trip.
As far as tickets for the Disneyland Resort, the rules state that each member of your travel party (ages 3 and older) must have a valid Disneyland Resort theme park ticket for admission to the Parks.
With that said, Cast members may occasionally require proof of age for children. Although I've never seen it happen, it's better to be safe than sorry. Plus, tickets for children ages 3-9 are priced less than those for guests ages 10 and older.
I guess my best advice when it comes to purchasing a ticket for a child whose age requires such a purchase is to do what is right. In the words of Jiminy Cricket "always let your conscience be your guide".
    Have a Magical time!
