My nephew just returned from WDW. He is in a high school marching band and was given a Dining Card with a certain amount of money on it (sort of like a giftcard). Can I use it my next visit if there is a balance still on it?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David! I just recently used a Dining Card during my last visit and simply adored the convenience!

The Walt Disney World Resort Dining Card is a magical little blue thing, much like a Disney Gift Card (typically red) which can be used at any food cart, quick service or table service restaurant (unless it’s a quick service only card) as payment. You can use it at Disney Springs, the Parks or the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels. The only way you can’t use this to pay for your meal is that it doesn’t currently work in the Mobile Order feature of My Disney Experience Mobile App (but I wish it did!). Stay tuned for possible updates on this. The balance of your Disney Dining Card won’t expire, so go ahead and store it in a safe place, like alongside your MagicBands, so you can bring it along on your next vacation.

I hope you have fun planning your next trip, and if I can help you brainstorm some off-the-beaten-path activities to keep your family entertained, let me know! ~ Lindsey P.
