My nephew goes by his middle name not his first name. Do I have to list him on MDE with his legal first name or can he use his middle name that he goes by for tickets magicband and all reservations?

Hello Julie and thanks for returning to planDisney with such an important question for us to help you with!

Julie, your dEAR nephew, and I share the same name dilemma!  Because I too am known by the name Jane to all my family and friends, even though it's actually my middle name.  It's my firm belief that all the very best people have the magical benefit of using 2 names!

I'm hopeful that you'll be happy to hEAR that I use both my names (Elizabeth Jane) on my My Disney Experience account, but I'm still referred to by everyone as simply - Jane!

Julie, I'm pleased to share with you that in my own personal experience of using both my given names on My Disney Experience has never caused me any difficulties at all when linking Disney Theme Park Tickets and Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservations to my account.

My best suggestion for you would be to go ahead and link your nephew's My Disney Experience account via Family and Friends by using both his given names.  After that, you'll both be able to begin planning together towards your upcoming November vacation to the most magical place on earth!

Julie, I hope that I've been able to provide a little pixie-dusted insight for you today.  If you should have any further enquiries for me, then please do pop back any time to planDisney!  It's always a pleasure to help wherever I can.

Have a great Disney day ~ Jane
