Welcome to planDisney, Tracy!
I'm so glad you stopped by with your question. I'm so excited to hear that you and your nephew are planning to attend this year's
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival –– this just so happens to be one of my favorite festivals of the year and I can't wait to see what the Global Marketplaces have in store for us this year! In fact, Disney Parks Blog just released this year's
Foodie Guide for the EPCOT Internation Food & Wine Festival and everything looks
incredible (especially the Kalua Pork Sliders from this year's Hawaii booth!!!). If you're in the mood to take your excitement (and hunger) to the next level before your visit, you'll definitely want to check out the guide for all the details!
As someone who likes to come prepared with just about anything you can imagine in my park bag, it sounds like you and your nephew are people after my own heart. That's why I'm happy to report that you're welcome to bring your own stainless steel cutlery to use during the Festival, with one exception –– as it states in the
Walt Disney World Property Rules, bringing in knives of any kind is prohibited in Walt Disney World theme parks, which does include cutlery knives. This means you're welcome to bring all the stainless steel forks, sporks, and spoons you like, but you'll need to forgo the knives. However, if you're looking for something that works a little better than the plastic silverware you'll find around the festival, I've seen some great reusable utensil sets (that do include a knife) for purchase around the parks. If you're looking for a set like this at EPCOT, I suggest heading over to the new
Creations Shop to see what they have available.
Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney, Tracy. No matter which utensils you choose to enjoy your food, I hope your upcoming visit to the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is filled with delicious dishes from start to finish!
Have a Magical Day,
Amy
