Hey there, hi there, Joesph! Welcome to planDisney. You've brought us a great question and we are here to get you an answer.
I'm excited to hear that your nephew has a
Magic Key and is trying to plan his first visit as a Magic Key holder. When a Magic Key is activated and used for the first time, the Magic Key will expire a year from the day it has been activated. Once your nephew is ready to activate his Magic Key, don't forget that he will need to make a
theme park reservation for the date and select a starting park. All Magic Keys have Park Hopper abilities and can start park hopping at 11:00 a.m. on the day of their visit.
As a Magic Key holder myself some of my favorite benefits to being a part of the Magic Key holder family are the discounts on
Disney Genie+ and parking, as well as getting to dine at
Magic Key Terrace in Disney's California Adventure. I love the menu offerings there and will always be down to grub on that delicious Quesabirria Flatbread.
Joesph, I hope this information helps you out. See you real soon!
Carrie
