Needing recommendations on golf. How is the weather in the Fall for a round and how easy is it to get there? Staying at Polynesian

    Hi Kris,

Thank you for the great question, though now I'm wishing I were teeing up for a round on one of the five Walt Disney World golf courses. You are in for a treat. For more than 40 years, the PGA Tour has chosen Walt Disney World golf courses as a regular tour stop and most recently chose both Magnolia and Palm courses. Testing your skills on holes which have challenged PGA professionals before you can quickly become quite the vacation memory!

In terms of getting there, simply notify Disney's Polynesian Resort valet desk of your transportation needs to and from the course. Based on your tee time, they'll arrange for a cab and provide you a transportation voucher, which will also include gratuity. When you've finished your round, simply visit the course Pro Shop and the steps will repeat themselves to transport you back to Disney's Polynesian Resort. The process is seamless.

Average temperatures this time of year range from 72-89 in September and 66-84 in October. September will still see a bit of rain, so I'd suggest booking an earlier tee time to avoid afternoon showers. You can book your tee time online at golfwdw.com or by calling 407-939-4653. Staying at Disney's Polynesian will allow you to book as early as 90 days prior to arrival.

I hope you hit them long and straight, Kris, and I'll leave you with one final tip. Be sure to check out the factoids sponsored by Kodak on each tee box, offering historical PGA moments ...perhaps your round will rival one of the PGA moments, too.
