Hi there, Haley!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!! I am sure you are WELL AWARE of it, but you will be at Walt Disney World Resort in LESS THAN A MONTH!!! I am so excited for you and am sure those little Mouseketeers are beyond excited to see their favorite characters, enjoy the attractions and see some amazing live shows! What magical memories are going to be made during this vacation; hopefully you’ve purchased
Memory Maker to ensure that all those memories make their way home with you at the end of your vacation!
My boys are bigger now and won’t ride in a stroller for long periods of time, but I am still a firm believer that strollers are a MUST when at the theme parks! I always begin the day informing them that the stroller is for our “stuff”, but undoubtedly by the end of the day, they are so glad we have a spot for them to sit when their little legs get tired! So, I recommend having one, even when kiddos think they are too big for one!
Strollers are available to rent at all the theme parks, but are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved ahead of time. While there are quite a few of them available, I will honestly say that one day we arrived at the theme park in the afternoon and there were none available for us to rent! We were told to check back periodically to see if another Guest had returned theirs, but since we had a short day in the theme park, we opted to make do without one. So, I would most definitely recommend making a point to get a stroller first thing in the morning if at all possible! If your plans do not accommodate you arriving at the theme parks early in the day, you may want to consider bringing your own OR renting from a local vendor. This completely ensures that you have one, when you need one! Another thing to remember is that the strollers cannot be taken from the theme parks, so if you plan on using a Park Hopper ticket to visit multiple theme parks in one day, you may run the risk of the second (or third) theme park not having a stroller available. So, often having one to claim as your own during your trip is well worth the effort of bringing one or renting one from an outside company. If you do bring your own, please be sure to read the
newly updated stroller guidelines ahead of time!
Please come back with any last-minute planning questions! Have the most magical of vacations!
