We are needing DAS for our visit this Aug 2022. But as we are travelling from England, we currently cannot get DAS pre-approved, so how do I get the 2 advanced ride reservations for our first few days?

    Hiya Clare!

Thank you for sending us your question, and welcome to planDisney, the most magical place on the internet! One of my favourite things about the Disney Parks is that it is welcoming to all. Indeed, Walt Disney himself said: "To all who come to this happy place, welcome." For this reason, there truly are options and offerings for everyone, and the Disability Access Service is one of the many accommodations that make the Disney Parks magical for everyone.

As you know, the video call is currently available only to residents of the United States or users located in the United States. While the video call might not be available in the UK, this does not mean that it is not an option for you at all! Once you arrive in sunny Orlando, Florida, you will be able to log into your My Disney Experience account and schedule the video call. You may also ask for help from a Guest Relations Cast Member to get all set up, but the video call service is the best way to benefit from the advanced ride reservations. It is important to note that advanced selections can be made two to 30 days in advance, so if you do schedule your video call upon your arrival in Florida, you will not be available to make selections for the following day.

Now, Clare, you have picked such a magical time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort! Indeed, you will be able to experience the World’s Most Magical Celebration and all of its unique offerings, such as special cavalcades, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire in front of the Cinderella Castle, celebratory souvenirs and EARidescent treats. In addition, as Disney likes to celebrate, you might also be there for the beginning of the Halloween season! Indeed, the spooky fun does not have to only last one day, and Disney’s Halloween celebrations typically last from August through October 31st. Keep an eye out for all the spooky treats, decorations and special merchandise!

I hope this was helpful, Clare, and that you and your family will have a magical time on your upcoming Disney vacation. If you have any other questions in the time leading up to your visit, please don’t hesitate to reach out! It is always our pleasure to help, especially from one international guest to another!

Have a magical day, and boo to you!
