Ahoy there, Robin. Welcome to planDisney. Thanks for taking the time to sail by planDisney with your question for us. I’m thrilled to see you will be sailing on the high seas with
Disney Cruise Line next month and creating priceless memories.
With your cruise just around the river bend, it’s time to gather all the
essential documents for your online check-in process. You’re already well-prepared, Robin, by gathering your foster child’s passport. Simply scan or take a picture on your phone the passport's photo page to upload. You’ll also need to take a photo with a plain light-colored background of your child from the shoulders up. Just make sure nobody else is in the photo, no hats or sunglasses are worn by your child, and that there is no glare. Don’t forget, you’ll need these for everyone in the travel party as well. During the online check-in process, you’ll also need to provide details for your travel plans pre- and post-cruise, emergency contact, as well as payment information for charges to your onboard account.
If you are not the legal guardian, I highly recommend consulting with your foster child’s social worker/case manager if you have any questions, particularly if it involves international travel. That way, you’re covered from a legal perspective.
I hope this information is helpful for you, Robin. If you have additional trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to stop by
planDisney again.
SEA ya real soon,
Kiki
