Ahoy there, Jessica! Welcome aboard planDisney! I'm so glad you sailed my way with your question!
Ah, the moment of truth! The time has come to
book your Disney Cruise Line vacation and take the next step in your planning adventure for your voyage next May! I'm sure you've spent hours and hours discovering all the exciting activities that await you and your crew is just waiting for the day you can sign in and book all your favorites!
But before that, there's the matter of the deposit! While you can use the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or the Disney Cruise Line website to make payments
after you complete a reservation, when it comes to splitting a payment on the deposit itself, you will have to
call a crew member to inquire about doing so, since the online checkout will only allow you to pay the deposit in a single transaction.
While I'm sure that's not the news you were hoping to see land upon your decks, the good news is that once your deposit is paid, the real fun planning can begin. One of my favorite things to do to help pass the time until our booking window opens is to use not only the countdown in the Navigator app but to get creative with it! My family and I made a countdown calendar in the shape of our favorite ship - the
Disney Wonder - and to this day we still "Move Mickey" every day once the countdown hits 106 days! Now, why 106 days? Well, that was back when we were Gold
Castaway Club members and that was one day before we could book our activities! haha!
So whether you decide to just count down the days after you make your deposit on the app or get creative with it like we did, I hope that helps clear things up and let you weigh anchor, Jessica! Thank you so much for your question, and if any others surface while you continue planning, please drop me a line here at planDisney!
Fair winds and following seas!
Andrew
