Hello Amy,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! Walt Disney World has several
health and safety protocols and modifications in place. One of them is that all guests ages 2 and older, regardless of vaccination status, are
required to wear a face covering indoors and on all enclosed transportation (buses, monorail, and Disney Skyliner).
The good news is that with the exception of Disney Skyliner, everywhere that you are asked to wear a mask is air conditioned. At this time face coverings are optional outdoors, so you won't need to wear one outside when it's extremely hot.
Because you will be taking your mask on and off repeatedly, I recommend getting a lanyard for your masks if you don't already have one. That way your mask will just stay around your neck when you aren't wearing it, and you don't have to worry about losing it or dropping it. Of course, it's possible that the face covering requirement could be relaxed as COVID numbers decrease, but it's good to be prepared.
Hope this helps. Have a magical vacation!
Diane
