Ahoy there, Karina! I love that you’re getting ready to multitask relaxing while learning this summer, so I’m glad you stopped by planDisney before your trip.
There are
two ways to stay connected while sailing the high seas. For Guests wanting to access the internet for services like social media, texting, Zoom, and Wi-Fi calling, the “Internet Package” will suffice. But since you need to watch videos while onboard, I strongly suggest purchasing the “Internet + Streaming” option. This includes all the options I just mentioned in the Internet package, plus access to long-form video streaming sites and apps. While onboard internet speed and connectivity are subject to change due to satellite internet availability, the latter option will provide the most robust capacity for video viewing.
Once you’re onboard the ship, you can navigate to the “Connect to the Internet” Card from your free
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app, or visit
DCLwifi.com to purchase your package. You may even be able to save money over the cost of a single day by purchasing a package on your first day for the entire sailing.
Speaking of the free DCL Navigator app, just connect to it via the DCL-GUEST network on embarkation day to have your cruise schedule and chat features all in the palm of your hand. You can also register for a free account at DCLwifi.com to access iMessage, WhatsApp, and complimentary websites, including
disneycruise.com and disneyvacationclub.com. You’ll find the full list of complimentary websites available after you log in and select "Complimentary Browsing".
I know you’re going to have a blast on your
5-Night Western Caribbean Cruise on the
Disney Dream.
Fort Lauderdale is one of my favorite ports to sail out of, both for its convenience and the surrounding beauty. Don’t hesitate to visit us again at
planDisney before you set sail if you think of any other questions!
Embrace the magic,
Sami
