We need transportation from airport to our Disney hotel. Uber/Lyft are often suggested but there will be 6 in our party. We will have two children but have our own car seats. Can you get an Uber that will take us from the airport? Other suggestions?

    Hello Mark,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question! It sounds like you are planning a vacation that will be here before you know it, so let's figure out how to get your family from the airport to the middle of the magic!

There are several options that you may want to consider for your party of 6. Many guests do use ride share services like Uber and Lyft. However, for safety reasons, Uber and Lyft drivers cannot have passengers in the front seat right now. Therefore, they can only accommodate up to 5 guests. You could split up your group and take two standard Uber or Lyft rides, but there are probably some more practical solutions.

Mears Connect and The Sunshine Flyer provide motorcoach bus transportation from the airport to your hotel. You may use your car seats on the bus, or you can store them in the luggage area. These services typically stop at multiple nearby resorts, and you'll need to book about four days in advance.

One option that a lot of people don't often consider is hiring a private car service. They are more affordable than you might think. You can usually get a van that comfortably seats up to 10 passengers, and most services will even make a 30 minute grocery store stop, which can be really handy for purchasing toiletries and snacks that you didn't pack in your luggage.

Finally, you could rent a car. Depending on where you are staying, having your own car can make it easier to take a midday break at your resort. It also makes it easier to enjoy restaurants at other resorts. Disney transportation is fantastic, but sometimes getting from one resort to another requires multiple modes of transportation and extended wait times.

Hope this helps you find the best transportation option for your magical vacation!
