I need some tips on MUST HAVES for packing. We will be at DW from May 7-11th. Driving from Shreveport, LA. with mother (72), daughter (28) and grandaughter (5). I know it's a little early to pack, but I don't want to forget anything. Any suggestions?

Hi there Doreen!  Packing for a Disney trip can be nerve-wracking, especially if you are concerned with remembering to bring all of the essentials.

I remember the first time I actually printed out a packing list prior to a Disney vacation.  It made a world of difference and I was able to reference the unofficial site Allears.net for some great ideas.

Here are some items often overlooked on packing lists that may very well come in handy:

    Aloe
Anti-bacterial hand gel (avoid long bathroom sink lines)
Autograph book with Fat Sharpie Marker
Backpack (to take in the park)
    Band-Aids
    Bathing Suits
    Batteries
    Beach Towels
    Battery Operated Personal Fan
    Contact Lenses and spare glasses
    Cooler (the soft type)
    Ear Plugs
Empty Suitcase for bringing back purchases and souvenirs
    Hats
    Insect Repellant
    Kleenex
    Laundry Detergent
    Rain Ponchos
    Sunscreen
    Sunglasses
Tote Bag (for taking things to the pool, etc)
    Umbrellas
    Water Bottles
    Wipes

A few more tips: Please pack sensible and comfortable shoes, and if you're picky about toiletries, be sure to pack your own soap, shampoo, etc. If you're a coffee drinker like me, bring along some standard filters and some of your favorite ground coffee. I also recommend purchasing a guidebook such as Passporter or Weinbaum's to bring along with you.
