Do I need to tip at character dining meals?

    Hi Dale,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We are pleased that you brought this question to us!

My family loves to dine at Character Meals at the Walt Disney World Resort. Even though they are typically buffet style, we always tip 18%. The cast members who have served us have been terrific. They always make sure we see all of the characters in between trips to the buffet.

Of course you can choose whether or not to tip based on the level of service.

Hopefully, you have booked your Dining Reservations. Restaurants do fill quickly, especially for character meals. Some of our favorite character meals are Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare (Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner), Crystal Palace, and Cinderella's Royal Table. Several of the character meals have PhotoPass opportunities. At Chef Mickey's, 1900 Park Fare and Cinderella's Royal Table, our girls have taken the cutest pictures. We always do a family photo at the Chef Mickey's PhotoPass area.

    Have a magical visit!
