Hi Dandre,
Thank you so much for visiting planDisney with your question. I am happy to help you with planning your magical Walt Disney World vacation!
Chef Mickey's is a very fun restaurant! It offers a way to meet so many of your favorite characters such as Mickey Mouse and Goofy, wearing their chef's outfits. The buffet is filled with delicious food, and the atmosphere is boisterous and fun. It is a great, upbeat character dining experience! Please do note that as with all character dining experiences, characters are subject to change.
Chef Mickey's is located at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. I have great news for you. Because this dining location is outside of the theme parks, you do not need theme park tickets or theme park reservations to dine there. You also do not have to be staying at Disney's Contemporary Resort to dine at this location. You are welcome to eat at Chef Mickey's no matter where you are staying!
I do recommend that you made a
dining reservation for this location. Chef Mickey's is very popular, and you don't want to get there and be disappointed that you cannot get a table if the restaurant is full. Also, if you are driving to this location, the security cast member at the gate may ask why you are visiting Disney's Contemporary Resort. With your dining reservation, you will be able to park for a few hours at this resort. Another easy way to get to Disney's Contemporary Resort is to head to the
Magic Kingdom however you would get there. Then, without having to go into Magic Kingdom, you can either take a quick walk or take the
monorail to head to Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort.
I hope that these thoughts are helpful for you, Dandre! Please do feel free to come back if you have any further questions.
