Hi there, Neifon! Welcome to planDisney!
I love any mention of games and fun activities, and Disney Cruise Line definitely has plenty of them to keep us entertained all cruise long!
Since I’m not sure of the sailing you will be going on based on your arrival date, I’m going to give you a rundown of the different games and activities you can find on board, as well as which ones require a reservation. For reference, Disney Cruise Line doesn’t use tickets, but uses reservations that can easily be made on the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator App.
All Disney Cruise Line ships feature SO MANY fun activities and games throughout the day! These include Bingo, Trivia, Family Games, Karaoke, and many more throughout the ship, including for the littlest cruisers inside the
Youth Clubs. You’ll be happy to know that none of them require reservations! The best way to find out which games are happening at which time is to keep an eye on that trusty Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. You can even tap the heart next to your favorite ones, and the app will remind you fifteen minutes before they start. I suggest arriving about 10-15 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, especially if you’d like to be seated with anyone to play along with them, because I find it’s easier to find group seating that way.
One popular activity that requires a reservation on every Disney Cruise Line ship is
Royal Gathering, where you’re able to meet the beloved Disney Princesses. You can make a Royal Gathering reservation while at home, in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App, by tapping “My Plans” and scrolling to the date it’s being offered. In general, Royal Gathering takes place on Sea Day mornings, but this is always subject to change. You'll know when it's time to make that Royal Gathering reservation because the date will be listed under the "My Plans" section of your reservation.
On board the
Disney Treasure,
Disney Destiny, and
Disney Wish, the Incredi-Course at
Hero Zone does not need a reservation, as you can walk in and play! You can find which day Incredi-Course is happening on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. You also don't need a reservation for the daily activities that take place at Hero Zone. My family is big fans of the basketball court and finds a late-night air hockey game the best way to end the evening!
If you’re sailing on board the brand new
Disney Adventure, some
activities that require reservations are Royal Gathering, certain other Character Experiences, as well as some of the attractions like
Ironcycle Test Run. You can make these reservations at select times, once on board, through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App. If you’re unable to find a reservation, not to worry, as there will also be times when you can ride without one.
Neifon, I hope this assures you that you’re going to have so much fun onboard! Please sail back to planDisney if you have any other questions.
You’ve Got a Friend in Me,
Rana
