Do we need tickets to enter to a character dining? We have scheduled a breakfast with the princesses at Epcot on July 16th, but after the breakfast, we want to spend the day at MK. We only have regular magic your way tickets. So is our plan realistic?

Hi, Isabel! Princess Storybook Dining at Norway's Akershus Restaurant is a fabulous character dining experience that does require separate admission to Epcot on the day of your intended reservation. If you desire to spend the day at the Magic Kingdom after your breakfast, you will need to add on the Park Hopper Option to your Magic Your Way base ticket. Another idea you may consider is trying to get a breakfast reservation at a different restaurant either inside or near the Magic Kingdom. Although it will be difficult to secure one of these this close to your trip, I would suggest making an Advanced Dining Reservation at:

    • Cinderella's Royal Table -- princesses inside the castle at Magic Kingdom for breakfast, lunch or dinner
    • Crystal Palace -- Pooh and friends at the MK for breakfast, lunch or dinner
    • 1900 Park Fare -- princesses, Mary Poppins and Alice in Wonderland characters at the Grand Floridian for breakfast or dinner
    • 'Ohana's Best Friends Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch at the Polynesian
    • Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for breakfast or dinner

Again, there are no guarantees that you'll be able to get one of these coveted reservations, but it is certainly worth a try to save a little on the cost of upgrading your ticket -- especially if you have no plans of visiting multiple parks on any single day of your trip. I hope this gives you some options as you plan. Let me know if you have more questions -- I'd love to help. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation!
