Welcome to planDisney, Susan!
Last summer, my family and I were able to experience World of Color at
Disney California Adventure Park. Wow! What a powerful, moving, and beautiful show! The colorful water fountains are simply mesmerizing. There's something so magical about seeing Pixar Pier lit up in the distance too.
I haven't had the joy of watching
World of Color - ONE yet, however, I'm excited to see it. I trust you'll be wowed by all the Disney nostalgia.
Susan, you don't need a ticket in order to see World of Color - ONE. However, Disney highly recommends that you
join the virtual queue when it opens at 12:00 PM (noon). If the virtual queue reaches capacity, you can arrive 30-45 minutes before the show and ask a Cast Member about walk-up viewing options that day. If you're able to enter the virtual queue, you'll receive a notification through the Disneyland mobile app to enter the viewing area via one of the 2 marked entrance points (Blue or Yellow), approximately 45 minutes before the show begins. Personally, I would arrive between 60-45 minutes before the show begins if you want the best viewing spot. I like to stand front and center (if you don't mind getting a little wet from the spray). If you can't get right in the center, anywhere up against the front railings will give you a great view. If you'd rather stay bone dry, you can try getting a spot in the second "row." I just try to make sure people aren't directly in front of me, if possible.
Pro tip: I enjoy eating a yummy churro whilst I wait!
I hope that's helpful, Susan. Have a magical trip.
Mike
