Hey there, Sarah! Thanks for visiting us at planDisney. It’s very exciting that your daughter is performing at Disney California Adventure Park!
The way
Park Hopper tickets work is you would be upgrading your ticket to become a Park Hopper for all the days of your multi-day ticket. However, the cost is the same – based on current prices, upgrading your ticket to a Park Hopper is $60/ticket, across all the days on the ticket. Hence, it’s a better value to convert to Park Hopper when you have a multi-day ticket than a one-day ticket.
Typically, tickets need to be upgraded in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths at the main entrance, but then you are taking a chance that reservations would no longer be available. In your case, I would contact
Ticket Services via phone right away since your need is urgent.
If Ticket Services is unable to upgrade your ticket based on reservations being unavailable, I would contact the organization through which your daughter is performing, in case they have any additional information for families.
For reference, this is how you can check for theme park reservation availability for Park Hopper tickets yourself, even though the upgrade must be completed in person. On the Disneyland Resort website, go to the
Theme Park Tickets page, select the number of days, number of tickets, ticket type “Park Hopper” and click the “Choose Your Dates” button. This is where you will see reservation availability for your desired date(s). Depending on the time of your daughter’s performance, you can select the park where you want to start. With a Park Hopper ticket, you are making a reservation for the park where you will start, then after 1:00 p.m. you can hop to the other park and move back and forth between the two parks as much as you’d like the remainder of the day.
Sarah, I am wishing upon a star that you’re able to get your ticket sorted to see your daughter perform. Sending you faith, trust, and pixie dust,
Kamini
