Need suggestions: family of 5 (dh,me,dd 20, dd 17, dd 5). Where would you stay? Comfort as well as convenience are important. Previously have stayed at WL and CBR. Little unsure about the suites at ASM. Please give us some advise. Thanks

    Ellen:

Although the suites at All-Star Music would provide plenty of comfort, as they have two bathrooms and a living area, convenience is not necessarily synonomous with the Value resorts, as you will need to take buses to the parks.

If you're looking for both comfort and convenience, and with your older children, I would suggest looking at the resorts over near Epcot and the Boardwalk.  Both the Beach Club and the Boardwalk Inn provide day beds for your 5-year-old, and the resorts are within walking distance of the back entrance to Epcot and a short boatride or nice stroll to Disney Studios....

Stormalong Bay may give the Beach Club a leg up, in my opinion, if your family enjoys the pool.  The lazy river and slide would be fun for all three of the kids!  The activities at the Boardwalk, especially at night, would make it "cool" for your older two, and it's assessible from both the Beach Club and Boardwalk Inn.  Your son and husband might also want to check out the ESPN Club while you and the girls shop!

If they're out of your budget, you may want to look at the junior suites at the Swan & Dolphin hotels that are nearby.  They're run by the Starwood group of hotels and aren't considered Disney resorts, but if you're not interested in the Dining Plan, they may be good alternatives.  They sport a great pool area and the convenience of the boardwalk.

    Wishing y'all a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Whitney, Mississippi

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
