    Need suggestions for DD's 8th bday dinner. Don't want to do 'Ohana or Whispering Canyon. Doesn't have to be a character meal, and would like suggestions for both in and out of the parks. Someplace that would be over the top for a bday. Thank you!

    I can't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than Disney World! There are so many fabulous places to dine to celebrate!

    Be Our Guest Restaurant in the Magic Kingdom would be my # 1 recommendation. Be sure to ask for the grey stuff for your birthday princess.

    Here are some other suggestions:

    * Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian - time your reservations near the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom
    * Mama Melrose's Ristorante Italiano at Hollywood Studios (DHS)
    * Fulton's Crab House at Downtown Disney (DTD)
    * Flying Fish Cafe at Disney's BoardWalk
    * Portobello at DTD
    * Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria at Epcot
    * Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot
    * California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort (if reopened during your visit) - time your reservations near the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom

    This may not seem over the top to you but kids love T-Rex Cafe at DTD. I also think that dessert at Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort is always tons of fun.

    Reservations can be made 180 days prior to your trip by calling 407-WDW-DINE. Be sure to tell them you'll be celebrating a birthday. You can also top off your celebration with a speciality cake by calling 407-827-2253. Advanced Dining Reservations & 48 hours notice are required.
